A competitive team of national level, which year after year gives birth to young talents; a J24 capacity at sea during a remarkable and well-established race.
These are the most striking qualities, but the Circolo Nautico Amici della Vela is much more than that, in fact it also offers initiatives such as summer courses, offshore sailing and marine culture.
The club's president, Emilio Sartini, explains that there are many initiatives, including the Spring Cup and the Youth Meeting, many of which are characterised by an emphasis on the disabled. In fact, the aim of the club is to be for everyone, for members but also for those who decide to attend the summer sailing schools or the various projects proposed.

REGATTAS, COURSES AND MARITIME CULTURE

Sailing boats"Racing is just the tip of the iceberg that gives us great successes year after year, starting with the very young Optimist sailors," explains Club President Emilio Sartini. "We organise important initiatives, such as the Spring Cup and the Youth Meeting, which have an average of over 300 participants, and a Winter Championship dedicated to the J24s, with an increasing number of participants every year.
Among the most praiseworthy initiatives are those aimed at various forms of disability, with sailing trips specially designed for the physically and mentally disabled and activities to raise public awareness.
Our aim is to be everyone's home: not only for our members, about three hundred of them, but also for those who come here for regattas, summer sailing schools or the various projects we offer," continues Sartini. "And thanks to our collaboration with AICS, we are trying to open a branch office in Bologna, as an outpost for all sailors in the region.
