Beach sports
The people of Cervia had their first exposure to beach volley in 1984 in the form of an European tournament.
Today this famous and hugely popular sport has become an Olympic sport. Almost all of Cervia's beach establishments have courts where you can play this enormously-popular sport.
The energy of the summer continues with other beach sports including beach soccer, beach basket, beach tennis, handball, beach rugby, foot volley, ping pong and the "hero" of traditional Italian sports bocce, with pitches all along the nine kilometre coastline.
The latest attraction of the beach is the chance to play beach golf and to workout outdoors at the various beach gyms which offer the latest fitness equipment and the hottest, new craze......spinning in water.
