Itinerant day through the city for the collection of Cervia tourists' memories: June 23rd 2018 - Tagliata, Cervia, Milano Marittima

On June, Saturday the 23rd, Cervia’s Municipality is organizing an itinerant day through the city of Cervia, for the creation of the community map of Cervia’s Tourists.

This is addressed to all tourists that visit the city, and is included in the activities on our intangible cultural heritage, carried on by the Municipality and the Eco-museum, in order to promote and preserve the memories and the stories of Cervia.

An itinerant Infopoint will be available all day long, for the collection of pictures, videos, texts, postcards and objects, with which will be created a community map of Cervia’s tourists. This will be an opportunity to bring to life the collective memory of whom – from the past till nowadays – has spent his holidays in Cervia, sharing important life memories.

Itinerant infopoint

You will find the itinerant Infopoint for the collection of memories in three different points of the city:
• from 10.30 am to 12 am at Hotel Mare Pineta garden in Milano Marittima
• from 2.30 pm to 4 pm at Bagno Saretina 152 Lungomare G. Deledda, 152 in Cervia
• from 5.30 pm to 7 pm at I.A.T. Tagliata viale Italia 374 in Tagliata
Pictures, videos, texts, oral memories or objects that remind of Cervia’s holidays might be taken to the Infpoint.
With all the materials and memories collected we will create a community map of Cervia’s tourists.
The project “Chasing memories" takes place within the European project “Culturecovery”.

Cervia: story of the soul of a city

The “intangible cultural heritage” means the practices, representations, expressions, knowledge and skills – as well as the instruments, objects, artifacts and cultural spaces associated therewith – that communities, groups and, in some cases, individuals recognize as part of their cultural heritage (UNESCO, Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, Paris, 2003).

Cervia’s Municipality has been actively committed in the collecting of intangible heritage and wishes to create a community map of its temporary residents: the tourists.
