Itineraries of exile - In the footsteps of Dante

Exhibition of paintings on canvas and paper, woodcuts, ceramics, inspired by the period of Dante's exile

The themes of the exhibition focus on the period of the poet's exile. The itinerary includes various works by Onorio Bravi, Giovanni Fabbri, Riccardo Pascucci, Guerrino Siroli, paintings on canvas and linen, painted printing paper, woodcuts, ceramics.
Dante's wanderings took him from the city of Florence to the Apennines, crossing impervious places, forests, pinewoods, medieval villages, the Casentino forests, the Castle of Poppi, the Acquacheta Waterfalls, Forli, the Fortress of Brisighella.
Dante arrived in Ravenna in 1318, welcomed by Podestà Guido Novello da Polenta, and died there in September 1321.

This is a travelling event that opened in July 2021 in Brisighella and ends in February 2022 in the spaces of the Magazzeno del Sale in Cervia.

The exhibition is promoted by the Municipality of Cervia with the organisational coordination of the cultural association Il Gelso.
The exhibition is curated by Paolo Trioschi, with the collaboration of the Antica Bottega Pascucci di Gambettola for the execution of several paintings.
