An event inspired by the Trebbo
Tales of Italian history about Benito Mussolini and Fascism, by Aldo Cazzullo, narrated by Moni Ovadia and accompanied by Giovanna Famulari with music and songs of that period.
Saturday 9th July
The Delinquent Duce
Alongside his fervent work as a journalist, Aldo Cazzullo increasingly likes to turn his words to the theatre, and recount essential facts and figures from Italian history, interweaving his curiosity with the talent of actors and musicians. To shed light on Benito Mussolini and Fascism, whose granite propaganda was consolidated by the extent to which the Duce managed to weave crimes and betrayals both in his private life and as head of the government, he could not avail himself of a more "stinging" voice than that of Moni Ovadia, to whom he entrusts texts by Mussolini himself and his victims. The eclectic Giovanna Famulari weaves the soundtrack of the tale in two voices using music and songs from the period. This is how the events that led to war and deeply marked the history of our country unfold.
