Cervia, a family-friendly holiday

Cervia, Family Friendly - logo

Looking for a child-friendly holiday?

Cervia has always been a family, child and youth friendly town.

The new Slow Park in the pine forest has been added to the many places suitable for families.

Cervia, a city in Emilia-Romagna, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, has 9 km of sandy coastline.

It consists of 4 tourist resorts: Milano Marittima, Cervia, Pinarella and Tagliata,
which immediately evoke an idea of a sunny, active, carefree and at the same time family holiday.

Thanks to a tradition of tourist hospitality consolidated over time, it brings with it the value of hospitality
with continuous attention to young guests to whom it dedicates child-friendly services and events.

A wide and safe beach, supervised and full of games, beach umbrellas to shelter from the sun and a shallow sea.
Here, even the smallest children learn to stay afloat without danger
and parents can enjoy a peaceful holiday with fun for the whole family.

Workshops for children at the Parco Lento in Pinarella and Tagliata

CERVIA AND THE WONDER PROJECT

To families, parents and their children, Cervia continues to think constantly.
Even at a time like the present, when tourism is now mature and globalised and offers are increasingly rich and articulated.

It is no coincidence that a few months ago, thanks to the WONDER project, Cervia joined a network dedicated to child-friendly destinations.
Several resorts on the coast, on both sides of the Adriatic, are part of the project.

This has made it possible to enhance new points of attraction and to introduce new tourist offers for families with children through innovative methods.

Thus, right at the end of the last bathing season, Cervia inaugurated three new play areas.

The Slow Park - Parco dei diritti naturali delle bambine e dei bambini (Park of the Natural Rights of Girls and Boys), a play and educational trail that winds through the Pinarella-Tagliata pine forest, intended mainly for children, has been completed.

The Slow Park with its nine thematic areas

This new park, divided into nine themed areas, is inspired by Gianfranco Zavalloni's Manifesto of the Natural Rights of Girls and Boys and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescent for a free, nature-based, slow and non-violent education.

The park is aimed not only at young users but also at parents on holiday who can let their children play freely in complete safety.

Project Wonder, a sustainable city for girls and children - logoLet the free and creative play begin

The game takes place in a natural environment, in the shade of pine trees.
The course is designed to entertain and stimulate the different senses:

--> observing nature
--> savour its smells
--> listening to sounds

A new space of peace and relaxation, where time is to be appreciated and savoured.
The name Parco Lento was chosen precisely with these values in mind.

Here one experiences rest and active recreation, cycling or walking.
An ideal place, a symbol of a resort that looks to the future, where the quality of life of its inhabitants and guests is a fundamental asset.

The WONDER project is part of the European Interreg Adrion programme.
