At School with the Saltworkers: the children tell their stories
On display are the works of the children who took part in the training project "At school with the saltworkers", which has involved volunteers from the Gruppo Culturale Civiltà Salinara since 2008.
The salt workers bring their testimony to the classes of primary schools in the Cervia area, to convey to children the traditions linked to the salt culture, the history and current reality of the area, but also to make them aware of respect for the environment.
With the support of the teachers, the children produced various types of work proposing reflections on their education and personal experience. The project, which is offered every year to the third classes of primary schools in the municipal area, includes a meeting with the salt workers in the classroom, a guided tour of the museum and the historical centre, and a visit to the salt mine.
At the end of the training course of the 2024\2025 school year, the children produced various types of work, drawings, nursery rhymes, poems and stories, based on their imagination
