RE_SALT. Salt discoveries
In continuity with the Design and Fashion Design workshops, which last year interpreted the culture of salt from the salt pans to the Salt Museum in Cervia, imagining the museum spaces with thematic exhibition designs and textile works inspired by the salt pan landscape, which culminated in the Sale Dolce di Cervia exhibition (5th-19th July 2024), this year's History of Design course focuses on the theme of salt shakers.
The focus will be on the study and composition of critical reviews of salt shakers already produced and included in the history of design, and will be completed with the design of new salt shakers, partly inspired by those analysed.
The exhibition is structured around three areas of research, developed at different times:
- RE_SALT. Salt spreader design. Course in design history
- Salt shakers from the Alessi museum collection
- Salt containers at Musa
The exhibition will remain open until 2nd November during museum opening hours and is included in the admission ticket.
