The Milano Marittima canal, 100 years after its construction
The Canale del Pino is celebrating its 100th anniversary and the Gruppo Culturale Civiltà Salinara has organised an exhibition that recounts its construction through period images and explanatory panels.
The inlet canal of the Cervia salt pans is an important hydraulic work built in 1925, completed after a long period of reform involving production, salt pan management and relations with salt workers. This change began with the unification of Italy, with the establishment of the State Monopoly and the acquisition of salt pan properties by the State.
- Opening ceremony on Saturday, 2nd August at 9 p.m., attended by Gabriele Armuzzi, Councillor for Volunteering of the Municipality of Cervia. Admission to the museum is free on the opening day.
The exhibition can be visited during museum opening hours and is included in the admission ticket.
