Nativity scene in Pisignano
Nativity scene made of logs and sea wood
The crib is built inside a wooden hut (3x2 metres) covered with pine branches and wrapped in fishermen's nets. It encloses an old sea trunk and many other pieces of wood collected on the beach.
In addition to the nativity scene, it depicts many characters, details and places, including a working fountain and a baroccio filled with sweet Cervia salt, and the fire in the cave of the nativity.
Shepherds and the three Wise Men are also represented.
