During the Second World War, the Adriatic coast was for a long time defensive post of the German army and that the whole territory of Cervia and Milano Marittima and Cesenatico is scattered with bunkers, some perfectly preserved, others buried or incorporated into private buildings and hotels. The pine forest, the promenade and the shopping streets hide numerous war remnants and also the so-called “dragon's teeth”, anti-tank barriers built in iron and concrete.
