Historical context

The pinewood was initially planted with stone pines in the early '40s by the State Forestry Corps in order to protect the nearest households from high winds coming from the sea.
After that, it's been decided to reforest these areas with cluster pines and Russian olives, considered to be resistant to winds and salt.
Pinarella's pinewood has been recognized as State Nature Reserve in 1977 to safeguard its own plant cover.

How to fully enjoy the pinewoods

Just a few steps away from the sea, the pinewood is the perfect place to take cover from the hot weather of the summer and to take a pleasant walk whenever you want to during the year.
It's the ideal place to practice some sport thanks to it fitness routes and tracks.
