The pinewood and the sea - A journey to Infinity
Internationally renowned Korean artist Park Eun Sun is exhibiting 15 sculptures in the garden of the MarePineta Resort thanks to a collaboration with the Contini Art Gallery.
Born in South Korea in 1965, Park Eun Sun arrived in Italy in 1993, with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seoul, and here he enrolled at the Academy of Carrara. The sculptor has chosen Italy as the land of life and inspiration for his art.
"Artist Park Eun Sun's experimentation begins with the material he works on almost scientifically, enhancing it and, at the same time, deconstructing it. The fundamental characteristic of his contemporary gesture is precisely that of imposing a fracture. Marbles and granites are sculpted, polished and finally split and then reassembled. These cracks are for the artist a metaphor for life, the scars of the suffering inherent in existence but at the same time a symbol of reconstruction and rebirth."

The exhibition will be held in the gardens of the MarePineta Resort: it is organised in collaboration with the Contini Art Gallery of Venice and Cortina d'Ampezzo, which represents the artist.
