Night of Fortresses
The Night of Fortresses arrives in Cervia, an opportunity to visit Cervia in an ‘’unusual‘’ way, through special free guided tours.
The event allows visitors to discover the town's symbolic places, such as the quadrilateral of the foundation town, as a fortification itself created to protect the salt, the San Michele Tower, the bunkers, or the fortress found in the salt works through their historical meanings that they have taken on over time.
This is a one-of-a-kind event
First held in 2022 as part of the European FORTITUDE project, it has so far allowed visitors to explore, over the course of a single event-filled night, 45 fortification sites across 8 neighboring countries: Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, and Slovenia. Learn more about the European FORTITUDE project.
