On Sunday 21st June, to mark the summer solstice, the Music Festival takes centre stage.
For the occasion, the entire historic centre comes alive and transforms into a huge open-air stage.
Once again in this 2026 edition, music and young people take centre stage. Performing will be the students of the “Gioacchino Rossini” Municipal Music School in Cervia.

A grand piano will be on stage, with the school’s pianists taking turns to play. - CERVIA - Piazza Garibaldi

The school’s rock and pop bands will take centre stage, alongside the ensemble groups from the music theory classes.
All concerts are free of charge.
The event is part of the Notte Rosa programme.
21 June is a day of music across Europe
The European Music Festival marks its 32nd edition this year.
Since 1982, when the first edition took place in France, the European Music Festival has been held every year on the summer solstice, 21 June, in numerous European countries.
In Italy too, the event is organised by numerous organisations under the direction of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Music conveys an important message of culture, participation, integration and universality in all its forms.
To mark this occasion, the Music Festival in Cervia is celebrated with a programme of free open-air concerts.
