By bicycle in the saltpan

By bicycle in the saltpan

By bike to discover the salt pan and salt production

In bicicletta in salina, montagna di sale

A journey on two wheels to discover the tradition of salt. An excursion that will activate all the senses: in front of the enchantment and the sounds of a landscape between sky and water, you will be able to perceive the scents and the taste of the local flora, taste the Salicornia and touch the silt.

Cycling to the salt mountains

From the Visitor Centre, you set off on your bike to the ancient Camillone Salt Pan, the only one where salt is still harvested according to tradition.

From here, pedalling along the path that runs alongside the district canal, we set off again towards the salt pans. Along the way are the characteristic wild blackthorns, from which the typical liqueur is produced.
After crossing the salt pans, we arrive at the area of the Plant to observe the machinery used to collect salt and the famous "salt mountain".
