Let's play at the museum! Art Becomes Salt

Let's play at the museum! Art Becomes Salt

Creative Sundays continue at MUSA, the Salt Museum, with Cervia Salt taking centre stage.

Art Becomes Salt

Sunday 15th November 2026

from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm

A creative workshop where salt crystals are transformed into works of art.

Events for children are back at MUSA, the Salt Museum in Cervia.

Salt, an ingredient to be measured out carefully in the kitchen, becomes a material with endless creative possibilities in art.

The Cervia Salt Pan has always been a source of inspiration for painters and artists: salt crystals can be used to create original works, as demonstrated by some of the creations on display in the museum.

Blocks of salt can be sculpted just like stone; for young children, this is a fascinating activity that stimulates their creativity whilst, at the same time, introducing them to the history and identity of the local area.

The museum opens its doors to very young visitors with dedicated activities taking place within the museum itself.

These are activities for children on Sunday afternoons, organised by local associations and volunteers.

The event on Sunday 15th November 2026 is organised by Cooperativa Atlantide.

On the first Sunday of every month, entry to Musa is free, and always free for children up to the age of 14.
Participation in the workshops is free and included in the museum admission ticket. Accompanying adults: €1.00.
