from 4th July to 30th September 2025
Milano Marittima, Waterfront
Razza Umana (Human Race) by Oliviero Toscani Studio is an installation resulting from the socio-political, cultural and anthropological study that captures the morphology of people to observe their peculiarities and characteristics, capturing differences and similarities.
The choral project conceived by the great master of photography and realised thanks to the shots taken by Toscani, his students and collaborators is revealed in a series of maxi-format photographs, installed on totems, positioned along a stretch of the seafront until the end of September, which celebrate the beauty of diversity and become part of a visual dialogue with the sea.
Oliviero Toscani, together with his students and collaborators, has in fact travelled the world, portraying human beings in squares and streets, setting up an itinerant photographic studio each time and collecting, to date, an archive of about 100,000 images.
The installation is part of the project Sogni Condivisi (Shared Dreams), Mare d'arte Festival, a diffuse event transforming Milano Marittima into a cultural centre en plein air.
Inauguration on Friday 4th July - the installation is visible until 30th September 2025
