From 21 to 23 August, Cervia and Milano Marittima will host “Giochi nella Città Giardino” (Games in the Garden City), an exclusive event combining sport, entertainment and conviviality.
An innovative format - conceived by Simona Ventura and Giovanni Terzi, with the collaboration of Alberto Mambelli - featuring athletic challenges, entertainment and cultural insights.
It kicks off on 21 August with the formation of two teams - one captained by Simona Ventura and the other by Giovanni Terzi - ready to battle it out in a festive atmosphere of healthy competition.
Well-known figures from the world of sport will take to the field, such as Maurizia Cacciatori, volleyball icon and captain of the Italian national volleyball team, and the great tennis player Camila Giorgi, as well as figures from the world of entertainment, such as Cristina Plevani, winner of the nineteenth edition of L'Isola dei Famosi, and the world of music, such as singer-songwriter Paolo Vallesi, who, alongside the citizens – the so-called “NIPs” – will provide moments of genuine entertainment.
The competitions will alternate between exciting beach volleyball and padel matches – on 22 August from 4.30 p.m. at the Fantini Club – and the classic and timeless symbol of summer in Romagna: bocce!
On Saturday, 23 August, at 5 p.m., it will be time for one of the most eagerly awaited events: the “Match of Legends”, scheduled to take place at the Stadio dei Pini in Milano Marittima, with free admission. Led by two coaching masters, Arrigo Sacchi and Alberto Zaccheroni, former champions will take to the field, including Sebastiano Rossi, Massimo Bonini, Massimo Agostini, Lorenzo Minotti, and Ruggero Rizzitelli, as well as other great figures in Italian sport, names that have written memorable pages in our football history and beyond.
'Giochi nella Città Giardino' does not end with sporting challenges: every evening, starting at 9.30 p.m., the Rotonda Primo Maggio will be transformed into a stage for unique dialogues and encounters. Simona Ventura and Giovanni Terzi will host three evenings, interviewing special guests including Andrea Scanzi, Giuseppe Cruciani, Ubaldo Pantani, Franco Nero and Rossella Erra.
And to close Saturday evening – after the award ceremony for the winning team and the interviews, both of which will be held at the Rotonda Primo Maggio – the big “Remember” party will light up the Pineta in Milano Marittima.
An event open to all, with the music and energy of two icons of the 1980s: Sandy Marton and Jo Squillo.
