The old fishers's market is just in Cervia's historical centre.
Situated in the so-called Piazza delle Erbe (the vegetable market) which in the past was the favorite place of commercial handlings and where there are still some fruit and vegetable stalls, in front of the former fish market.
The fine building dates back to the 19th century, in fact before that time fishers used to sell their products outside the town limits, in order not to pay the expensive duties. Inside the building, consisting of a single vane, it is still possible to admire the original marble counters, perfectly preserved, as well as the water drain on the floor.
Nowadays it is the ideal place for several arts temporary shows.
