The Suffrage Church is in Cervia's historical centre, a few metres from the Cathedral
The church dates back to the year 1722, when it was built to the order of the Confraternity of the Holy Sacrament; it has an extremely linear façade with typical features of the 18th century.
The inner part is characterized by an extremely intimate, cosy atmosphere, which is mainly due to the particular features of this small church: an elliptical design which also causes practically perfect acoustics.
Inside the Suffrage Church there is a valuable wooden crucifix of the XVI century, in a so-called gothic-painful style of Rhine School origin.
Important and remarkable as well is an organ by Gaetano Callido, which in special occasions offers wonderful sacred music concerts. Over the last few years it has also been possible to admire a picturesque crib all year round.
